Notary by Joy › Online notary
Texas Commissioned Online Notary · Remote Online Notarization
Notary by Joy is commissioned by the State of Texas as an online notary. You join a secure video session from your phone or computer, verify your ID, sign electronically and download the notarized document the same day. The signer can be anywhere in the world. The price is $35 per notarized signature, with no travel fee.
01 How it works
Pick a time on the calendar or text (469) 892-8414. Tell me the document and how many signatures need notarizing.
You receive a secure link to upload your document as a PDF. Do not sign it yet.
Scan your photo ID and answer a few identity questions. The platform handles this in a couple of minutes.
We meet on live video, you sign electronically, and I apply my Texas electronic seal. You download the finished document right away.
02 Pricing
Both are priced in full on this site. Online skips the travel fee, so it is usually cheaper for one or two signatures and for anyone outside the metroplex.
| Signatures | Online | In person, within 15 miles |
|---|---|---|
| 1 signature | $35 | $55 |
| 2 signatures | $70 | $65 |
| 3 signatures | $105 | $75 |
| Signer outside DFW | $35 each | Not available |
Rule of thumb: one signature, or a signer who is out of town, goes online. Three or more signatures, a signer without a smartphone or computer, or a document that needs wet ink, goes in person. See the full in-person fee schedule.
03 Who it helps
Students, military families and anyone who moved away but still has Texas paperwork, such as vehicle titles, property documents or affidavits.
Sign from your office or your kitchen table between meetings, including evenings and weekends, 7am to 9pm.
When one signer is in Dallas and another is out of state, each can join online instead of coordinating a single meeting.

The session platform scans your government-issued photo ID and asks a short set of identity questions drawn from public records. This is the standard Texas process for online notarization. If you cannot pass the questions, an in-person appointment is the backup.
Most documents can. Some, such as wills, self-proving affidavits and directives to physicians, need witnesses, and some offices that receive documents require wet-ink originals. Mention the document when booking and I will tell you whether online or in-person is the better route.
